Is it just my age or are the years going faster?

Logic would of course tell us that time never changes from year to year but I have the feeling that the pace of life is changing and that impacts on our perception of time.

The internet has brought us some amazing things but it seems can also tie us up 24/7 and make us feel that we can never take  time off. This brings pressures that are new to us and it seems we need to learn some new systems to handle this faster paced world.

At griffin+row, our business never closes, our online shop is 24/7 and that is great both for you our customers and for us . It means that we don't need to be physically in a store and that you can simply press some buttons and have products delivered to your home or office.

This should all mean that life is easier but I am not certain that is the case. In fact I think that the pressure of life today can be pretty wearing and ageing.

So here's a few personal tips to reduce the wear and tear of life and bring a smile to our faces, which of itself is an anti-aging exercise!

• Jog or walk every day - something  about this physical discipline really sets the day up for me and improves my frame of mind.
• Say No sometimes - one of my closest friends died some years ago, she was extremely stressed before she died as she found it very hard to say no', and her life was chaotically busy.
• Prioritise - it's impossible to do all we feel we need to do, so get very clear about what is important to you, what your commitments are and how you should allocate your time accordingly
• Get a dog -  I can't believe I am saying this but I am a recent convert  to loving a dog. It belongs to my friend, Harry, who kindly shares his adorable Samoyed with me. Walking this dog is such a peaceful and fun experience and he asks for nothing other than to be led to the beautiful park near my house where he simply sniffs his way around the trees and comes back when he is called - if only life was so simple for us all!
