More than Natural

Terms like 'pure', 'natural' and 'organic' are used by all kinds of producers and manufacturers in order to capture consumers who are conscious of the myriad health problems that can eventuate from the use of harmful, toxic chemicals in food and beauty products. Most consumers today do realise the harmful effects of eating foods grown in heavy chemicals and sprayed with pesticides. However, many of these same consumers do not realise that our skin, being the largest organ of our body, actually absorbs chemicals as well. Think of the Nicotine Patch or the HRT Patch - both deliver their doses via the skin. Therefore it makes sense to be very careful with the ingredients that are in skincare and beauty products.

A recent article in Victoria's 'The Herald Sun' by respected journalist Liz Walsh, cited the \chemical cocktail of 515 questionable substances in products that women put onto their body daily.\" These products include hair products"
